What can I expect?
How long is a new ground worship gathering?
In total, a typical worship gathering at New Ground is about 70-75 minutes in length. Worship begins by reciting an ancient prayer and blessing Jesus called the Greatest Commandment, The Shema, the band leads the church in music - song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. After worship in song, one of our ministry partners will lead us in prayers for the community, a time of giving of resources, some brief announcements and opportunities to connect with others at church, followed by a teaching connecting the story of the Bible and good news of Jesus to living the flourishing life now.
What's the culture like at new ground Church?
We want to treat everyone as family. Our environment is casual and relaxed. We encourage you to come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guest.
What about my kids and youth?
We believe kids and youth are not just the future of the church, but the present as well. Our kids and youth are regularly involved in the life of the church. They serve with us at events, they also read Scripture, collect offering, are greeters, and read children's stories on Sundays just to name a few.
Our youth (grades 6-12) meets weekly from 5-7pm on Sunday nights during the school year, and participate in the regular life of the church with our kids as mentioned above and join their families for regular worship times.
