What can I expect?

How long is a worship gathering?

Usually, worship runs about 75 minutes in length. We begin reciting Jesus' Greatest Commandment, and then our worship band leads the church in music - song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable.

After worship music, we have dedicated times of prayer, church life event happenings, and also an extended time to greet others, including having coffee and doughnuts together (don't worry we have other drinks, too!).

Following our meet-and-greet time, you'll hear a teaching that shares how the story of the Bible is not as old as we think, with real-life application to the here and now.

What's the culture like at new ground?

We're a smaller church, so it's hard to hide. But you'll experience a radical hospitality and welcome, not in a creepy way! We value family, and believe that everyone is looking for belonging. Our environment is extremely relaxed and casual. You can come as you are, dressed however you want (the pastor usually is in shirt and jeans on Sundays), and coffee and doughnuts are served. You should expect for others to approach you to make you feel welcome, and not pressure you into anything you don't want to talk about.

What about my kids?

We'll be honest, we don't have mega-programs. In fact, we're highly committed to deep relationships. So we try to involve our children and youth in the whole life of the church. You'll usually see our children and youth as a regular participant our worship gatherings.

We have activities for children from birth through 4th grade on Sunday mornings, except for the 1st Sunday of the month, where all of us take communion together and only our nursery is open that week.

We also have activities for students grades 5-12 on Sunday evenings from 5-7pm.
